Ever wonder how Lake Street was selected as the name of Chicago’s bespoke investment firm?
Back in 2017, along one of Chicago’s most prominent and industrious streets, a unique investment firm began to take shape. Joseph Stock and Justin Terzo, former Merrill advisors, had a vision to create an independent investment firm to be located on Lake Street. This was the perfect location to put them on the map in Chicago, where they had established deep roots in the community. The selection of the Lake Street name also subtly signaled the pair’s integral roles as founders of the new venture, Lake Street Financial, with Stock and Terzo’s last name initials representing the ‘S’ and ‘T’ in STreet.
